Noirchive is a mobile social app for archive fashion. Members post fits, tag the pieces they're wearing, and vote each other fire or mid in a Tinder-style swipe deck. Every vote feeds a Bayesian fit score. Every member gets a permanent number, assigned in order at signup, never reassigned. The number is the flex.
It is not a marketplace. It is not a forum. It is a private mobile library where taste is the only currency that matters, and the record stays once you make it.
Nothing on Noirchive is one-tap. Posting, voting, and tier-ups all have animated rituals. Speed is not the point. The record is.
Voting earns ELO. ELO promotes you through seven tiers, named like ranks in a private library. Each tier unlocks more grail slots on your dossier. ELO does not decay. The work compounds.
Ten core mechanics. Each one earned its place by passing a single test: would removing it make Noirchive feel more like the room we wanted to build.
Each Circle is organized around a single aesthetic — Quiet Form Society, Brutalist Cloth, Shadow Registry. Member-capped. Joining policy is open, by approval, or invite-only. Numbers earned inside a Circle are permanent.
Each Circle runs a weekly drop — a small set of pieces members vote yes / no / grail on. Phases: upcoming, open, grading, results, archived. The grail tag is rare and visible. Drops close on a clock.
Tap any fit to open the Salon. Compose a verdict — short text with an optional fire, mid, or pass tag. No threading. No likes. Verdicts from members №0001–№0100 get a gold rail.
The voting interface is a Tinder-style swipe deck. FIRE in gold, MID in danger-red. Bayesian fit score 0–100. Consensus bonus rewards voting with the crowd. 1.5-second server-enforced cooldown.
Up to eight pieces pinned to your dossier. Tier-gated — INITIATE starts with two, DOSSIER unlocks all eight. Visible on your public profile at noirchive.com/@you.
Voting on consecutive days builds a streak. Streak bonus adds +1 to +5 ELO per vote, capped at 5. Missing a day breaks it, but missing a week does not erase you.
The first 1,000 accounts sign up openly. At 1,000 members the gate closes — every existing member gets 3 invite credits, generated as 12-character codes from Settings. Codes are rate-limited; brute force is wasted effort.
Every uploaded image runs through Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch before it touches the database. Nudity, violence, gore — blocked at the gate, not after the fact. Account deletion is one-tap and complete: profile, fits, votes, follows, verdicts, tokens.
A single global list. Top three in gold. Quiet pressure. You can climb it. You cannot buy it.
Each year your dossier compiles into a Recap — top pieces, top circles, top verdicts, ELO trajectory. Saved at noirchive.com/@you/recap. The annual receipt for your taste.

The first thousand accounts are open. After that, you wait for an invite. The earlier you're in, the lower the number — and it never changes.
